Due to spreading of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19) meeting of National Security Council was held
16 March 2020The Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia led the meeting of the National Security Council.
At the meeting, the current situation in the country, pertaining the spread of new Coronavirus (COVID-19), was discussed in the context of national security. The particular attention was paid to the risks and challenges of economic security in a short as well as in a long-term perspective.
At the same time, during the meeting, the parties underlined that at present there is no need to declare a state of emergency in the country, however, since the very first day, the Government of Georgia has been following a specific action plan and will make decisions in accordance with new developments.
