25 February 2022The Head of the National Security Council’s Office expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador of Great Britain for the support of the National Security Council’s Office activities and fruitful cooperation in various fields.
The parties discussed the ongoing events in Ukraine and their impact on regional security environment. During the meeting particular attention was paid to the discussion of the national level conceptual document, the National Security Concept. The document was elaborated in interagency framework by the coordination of the National Security Council’s Office, with the great support of the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Georgia.
Moreover, National Security Council’s Office actively cooperated with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in developing the National Security Concept of Georgia by sharing best practice and the experience of international experts.
The Head of the National Security Council’s Office highlighted the significant support of the United Kingdom in combating the challenges facing Georgia in Cybersecurity. Parties also discussed the support from the UK in strengthening Crisis Management system and enhancement of effective cooperation between the two countries.
